Religious living requires a first hand discovery of God. It means much more than finding arguments by which to prove that God exists. We might know all about God and yet not know Him. Our practice is the only sure evidence even to ourselves that we are genuinely religious. Religion to too many people has become traditional, conventional, a family heirloom or inheritance that touches the outer fringes of life, instead of a vital religious experience. The transforming power of real religion has never been released in their lives. ...
