REAL EXISTENCE IS INSEPARABLE FROM GOD

As the rays of the sun cannot exist apart from their source, so man and the universe cannot exist apart from God. Paul put the truth of this unity of God and idea in these words to the Athenians (Acts 17:28): "In him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring."

Corporeal sense has not believed in, nor can it grasp, the nature of man's inseparability from his Maker. False sense thinks of many isolated physical personalities, all with separate aims and purposes, all with separate minds, separate abilities and disabilities, all subject to confusion, sickness, sin, destruction.

The false view of man as outside of God and as apart from His control is corrected through Christian Science. Those who grasp even in a degree the immortal inseparability of cause and effect are blessed by that higher comprehension of existence in improved human well-being. The false view of man's relationship to God is superseded by the true through study, prayer, and demonstration.
