ARE WE LISTENING?

The student of Christian Science, alert to opportunities to prove God's ever-available presence and power to meet human needs, has many inspiring experiences. One such experience is here related.

In her capacity as a corresponding secretary, a certain student was once given an assignment for which she felt inadequately equipped. In addition, a time limit was imposed for the completion of the assignment. The task was that of formulating an important letter for a specific purpose. But no outline of topics was provided. The special need of the hour was for freshness of subject matter and of expression. Clearly a demonstration of the presence and guidance of divine intelligence was called for.

There was encouragement in the recollection that more than once in her work the application of her understanding of the teachings of Christian Science had enabled this student to overcome beliefs of limitation and at times even to exceed the performance expected of her.
