Words fail to express my gratitude...

Words fail to express my gratitude for our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, whose fidelity to God made it possible for her to restore to mankind Christ's Christianity and its lost element of healing, I grew up in a home where Christian Science was the accepted religion, but after my marriage, religion was neglected. Yet there were times when help was needed and received.

One such time was when our son, then three and a half years old, was severely injured by a runaway horse. My husband, who was not a student of Christian Science, insisted that our son be taken to the hospital. On the way there I held to some of the truths I had learned as a child.

After an examination the boy was found to be suffering from severe concussion and other injuries. The doctor held little hope for his recovery and expressed the belief that should he recover, he would be mentally affected. I immediately called my father and asked for help in Christian Science.
