HOW TO ACHIEVE HARMONIOUS BEING

To experience harmony in the various phases of human experience is indeed a great need for mankind. Harmony is erroneously sought after in the flesh, but each individual must at some time learn that it is found, instead, in God and in harmonious qualities of thought which are derived from divine Love, for Love includes in itself all true joy. In exchanging negative characteristics for the harmonious qualities of being, we bring our lives into accord with the one God, and we experience the peace mentioned by Isaiah (26:12), "Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us."

Through the revelation of the Science of being as discovered by Mary Baker Eddy, the student finds that "God's being is infinity, freedom, harmony, and boundless bliss," as Mrs. Eddy writes on page 481 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."

God, the source and creator of all good, must have His harmonious expression. Isaiah puts it in these words (43:10): "Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he." Turning away from the outward appearance of things, one finds that his true being witnesses to God and is untouched by the discords of sense.
