Signs of the Times
Robert L. Johnson
in the Philadelphia Inquirer
"Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10). In this busy and uneasy world, ... how very seldom do we heed the words of the Psalmist quoted above. But how much better if more and more men ... would withdraw from time to time to some silent place, where, utterly alone, they would be free from all mental and physical disturbances, and give themselves the opportunity to hear the Voice of God.
A better understanding of the work that lies before us in the world would be possible .... We would obtain renewed strength for the tasks at hand .... We would be comforted.
