STRENGTH THROUGH INSPIRATION

How invigorating is the understanding that our strength comes from the Lord! No longer attributing weakness and weariness to bodily deficiencies, students of Christian Science are awakening to the true source of strength and are relinquishing the misconception that energy and vitality are to be found in nonintelligent matter.

A sense of weariness often masks the more subtle suggestions of boredom, discouragement, or distaste for duty. The angel of inspiration, the revelation of Truth to consciousness, is the ever-present, effective, and only remedy for the sense of weariness. And God, infinite Mind, ceaselessly imparts this angel to His manifestation, man.

Divine inspiration floods the receptive thought with pure, unselfish ideas. Effort expended under God's direction in loving and charitable acts is never exhausting. We read in the Bible (Isa. 40:31), "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Love abundantly blesses right activity with renewed vigor and vitality.
