My first testimony appeared in the Sentinel of Octorber 19, 1946. That testimony brought blessings to me and to others. The healings mentioned have been permanent, and progress has been made through complete reliance on the truths in the Bible and in the writings of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

The Bible promise (Isa. 30:21), "Thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left," has been of real help to me. I have proved true our Leader's words (Science and Health, Pref., p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." "Big with blessings" indeed has been my experience.

I should like to tell of one such blessing. I found myself in a business position which was foreign to what I knew was right. However, the way out did not appear. The struggle was great, but I studied faithfully as taught in Christian Science, seeking the right way. Finally I became too weak to continue at my work and asked help from a loving practitioner. It was given at once, and in a few days my strength returned. However, I felt it necessary to return to the business position for a certain time, even though it did not appear right to do so. I could not continue, and I experienced what materia medica might have called a stroke.
