ELAINE LEARNS FROM DOING

[Of Special Interest to Children]

For over a year Elaine had had an ugly wart on one of her fingers. One day her mother asked her why she did not use her understanding of Christian Science to heal this unsightly mark.

That very night, after she was tucked into bed, Elaine began to think of some of the truths regarding herself which she had learned in the Christian Science Sunday School. She knew that God, good, is All-in-all and that He could not possibly have given His child anything unlike Himself. And she remembered that Christ Jesus had promised (John 8:32), "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." She also remembered to be grateful for all the good that she had received.

Each night when she went to bed, she continued to pray by knowing that she was really the perfect reflection of perfect God. She had read in the Bible (Gen. 1:31), "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good."
