Some years ago a serious illness came upon me. I was unable to walk and had to be assisted by members of my family. My vision was affected, and I rapidly lost weight, although I ate substantially.

For some time I had been attending a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and studying the Bible Lessons in the Christian Science Quarterly. However, my thought was not clear. A physician was called, and he suggested that I go to a hospital for tests; so I did.

Within a few days, he told me that I had a serious case of pernicious anemia and that I needed certain injections. To members of my family, he stated that my condition was incurable and that I had not long to live. At that time I took cognizance of my thinking and decided to study Christian Science more seriously. Shortly thereafter, resentment and some other false traits of character were overcome.
