KAREN FINDS A FRIEND

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Karen lives in one of the southernmost parts of the United States. She goes to school there and to the Christian Science Sunday School. During the hot summer months many of the people who have homes in her city go north. When the summer vacation started the year that Karen was in first grade, all of the other children in her neighborhood went away, not to return until September.

"I don't have anyone to play with!" Karen said unhappily the first morning of vacation. "What can I do?"

"I know what we can do," her mother answered. "We'll pray about it!"
