Christian Science was first presented to me more than thirty years ago when there did not appear to be a ray of light for me anywhere. Progress in this Science was slow at first; but there was always joy, because I knew I had found the way of Life. During these years I was guided and protected, and I was always able to provide a home for myself and my children.

My first healing was one of digestive trouble. At that time I felt so overburdened with work that there was not much time to devote to study; so I carried the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, around with me wherever I might be in the house. As I read, perhaps only a few lines at a time, the healing came quickly, and I learned what is meant by the allness of God. I saw that God, Love, was pouring out to me more than I accepted.

In my early days of study, I was healed of pneumonia. A doctor was called to examine me, and he said I could not recover without medical help. However, no medicines were used, and I was quickly healed through Christian Science.
