ASSOCIATION DAY

I hear a sweet summons
Like bells from afar.
My distant horizon
Is lit by a star.

I journey rejoicing
With laborless tread
To a banquet of Soul,
Where the hungry are fed.

A sheaf on my shoulder,
A song in my heart,
A love universal,
A wish to impart.

The tempest and thunder
Are gone with the night.
The dawn's golden wonder
Enfolds me in light.
