"THEY SHALL RUN, AND NOT BE WEARY"
The press, radio, and television relate that the tensions of the business world and the increasing speed in our daily living cause tired minds and bodies. But the claim that fatigue can rob us of our joy and right activity is proved false in Christian Science.
Quoting Isaiah's promise (40: 31), "They that wait upon the Lord . . . shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint," Mary Baker Eddy tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 218), "The meaning of that passage is not perverted by applying it literally to moments of fatigue, for the moral and physical are as one in their results."
Would not one "wait upon the Lord" if he took time to allow the law of God to replace wrong thoughts, such as hurry and pressure, with right ones, such as calmness and inspiration?
