JOY IS WITHIN
Joy
comes not from earthly tale
Of day's unfolded story,
But from the inner chords of grace
That wake with heaven's glory.
When gratitude wells up with love
To still the voice of sorrow,
No fleshly heritage can dawn
To cloud a bright tomorrow.
True joy is not a passing thing,
A dream of mortal living,
For gladness springs from holiness,
A gift of God's own giving.
