WHO WAIT RECEIVE
Luke 8:40
The
people waited, it is said,
Waited for him who soon or late
They knew would come and raise their dead
And designate their true estate.
They waited quietly; they were
Companioned by expectany
And patience, all too wise to stir
Until he come, content to be.
And having waited, they received—
Received him gladly. So may we
Who wait perceive as they perceived
The present Christ and be set free.
