KNOWING GOD ARIGHT
To many individuals the question may arise, "How can I be sure that I know God?" This is a reasonable question and does not necessarily imply that the inquirer is either a doubter or an agnostic. Every sincere seeker after the truth concerning the creator of the universe and man does have a yearning really to know God. To such a one, there is found in the teachings of Christian Science an answer to this question which is both comforting and satisfying.
In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy states (p. 467), "Reasoning from cause to effect in the Science of Mind, we begin with Mind, which must be understood through the idea which expresses it and cannot be learned from its opposite, matter."
This idea is the manifestation of all-inclusive God. The Christ-idea expresses the immortal nature of God. Thus through a study of God's divine qualities as expressed in the Christ, we can know our loving Father-Mother.
