WE ARE NEVER ALONE

One of the things Christian Science teaches is that man is never alone, never separated from God, never separated from good, because, as His spiritual idea, he eternally lives, moves, and has his being in the divine Mind, God. One learns in Christian Science that evil or error would bewilder and confuse individuals and convince them that they are, or can be, separated from good in some essential quality or form.

Christ Jesus said to his disciples (John 16:32), "Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me." His awareness of his divine sonship, as the child of God, made it impossible for him to succumb to the temptation to believe himself outside the infinitude of God's omnipresent power.

Mortals, believing themselves to be finite creatures, limited by time, as well as separated from God by space, are prone to accept so-called physical sense testimony as factual. That is why they are unable to understand the Biblical statement (Jer. 23:24): "Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord."
