A HARMONIOUS RELATIONSHIP

The belief that people cannot always get along together is one of the false beliefs that plague mankind. Christian Science teaches, as did Jesus, that this belief does not have to be accepted. Through the teachings of Christian Science we learn that man's only relationship is with God and His ideas.

This order rules out the belief that man can experience discordant relationships. When we understand the truth of this statement, we see that our true relationship with other individuals is completely harmonious.

Man is not, as material evidence would make us believe, living in a society of mortals, dependent upon them for his happiness and livelihood. Man is God's spiritual idea. As such he lives in God, and it is only upon God that man is dependent for anything.
