It is now forty years since Christian Science was presented to our home. My husband was suffering from severe throat and stomach trouble and had been given only a short time to live by kindly doctors, who said they could recommend nothing further. At this dark hour a dear friend presented Christian Science to us.

My husband got in touch with a practitioner, who talked to him of God and of man in God's likeness. She asked him to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and said he could eat whatever he wished. The morning after the talk with the practitioner, my husband went to work and remained all day, something he had not been able to do for months.

That evening he ate a hearty dinner. When I asked if his throat hurt him, he said, "I wouldn't know I had a throat." Such peace and harmony prevailed that we realized he was healed. The discordant condition never returned.
