LETTERS TO THE PRESS FROM CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

The inclusion of a tribute to the restorative power of Christian Science healing, in an article entitled "Faith Healing and/or Penicillin," which appeared in your magazine [recently], merits our sincere appreciation.

Your writer implies that where a malignant disease has already destroyed part of an organ, it is impossible that the organ should be completely restored through prayer. I am sure you will be interested to know that we have records of many cases where medically diagnosed cancer and tuberculosis have been not merely arrested but completely healed. We know that we have a long way to go to demonstrate that spiritual understanding which enabled the Master always and instantly to heal every disease with which he was confronted; but we rejoice in the proofs we already have of the limitless power of the Christ to heal every ill.
