In this workaday life of ours, encumbered as we are with many worldly matters and engrossed in worldly pleasures and pastimes, we are apt to drift away from our Christian moorings and lose our contact with the sources from which spring our spiritual life.
When we make use of the means of grace, we find in them a counteracting influence, for they serve to provide us with a better perspective of life, a truer value of the elements which enter into it and a better understanding of our relationships with God and our fellow men....
