I am grateful that we have an outlet such as our periodicals through which to express our gratitude to God for Christian Science. I first became acquainted with this Science while in college. My roommate and the young man across the hall were both Christian Scientists. One time, after they came home from a Wednesday testimony meeting, they talked to me about their religion, and we read several passages from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

The thought of God as Love aroused my consciousness, and I realized for the first time that being is spiritual. I felt as though a heavy weight had been lifted from me, and I was joyous and free. Also, my schoolwork improved greatly.

However, as time went on, I sank back to the old routine of material thinking. While I was working for the Federal Goverment, I was wearing glasses, and the doctor had told me I would keep needing stronger and stronger lenses as I grew older. In the meantime, a relative who had had a healing in Christian Science wrote me of it and of other wonderful things Science had done for her.
