On page 274 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mrs. Eddy writes, "Divine Science is absolute, and permits no half–way position in learning its Principle and rule—establishing it by demonstration." It is because Christian Science is absolute that it is always reliable. I have had no help other than this Science for more than thirty years, and it has brought me many blessings, for which I am deeply grateful.

About two years ago, just after I had eaten dinner one evening, I was seized with an acute illness which lasted off and on during the night. I worked prayerfully as best I could, but when in the early hours of the morning there was no improvement, I called a practitioner for help. Knowing I was alone in the house, she thought it wise to send a friend of mine to be with me. This was Friday morning.

After my friend came, I lost consciousness; and the next thing I knew, my son and daughter were standing by my bedside, and it was Sunday morning. I had been in a coma since Friday. The practitioner had continued to work for me, and on Saturday she worked throughout the night.
