Through Christian Science I...

Through Christian Science I have received healings of broken bones, an injured back, and various diseases. A needed home has been found, and protection has been experienced in thousands of miles of air travel in South America, Central America, and Mexico. I am grateful for the many friends I have made in foreign lands and for a better understanding of God's law of supply.

For one proof of God's love and protection, I am particularly grateful. During my husband's term as a Reader in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, the company in which he was employed moved to another city some miles away. He wanted very much to continue at his post as Reader; so a camp in a nearby mountain resort was purchased. Adjoining our camp was a butane company which sold butane wholesale.

One day while a tank truck was being filled from one of the big storage tanks, the cut-off valve failed to operate. A fog of butane spread over several acres, and our camp was soon enveloped. My husband, a mechanical engineer by profession, knew the nature of butane gas, and he told all in the camp to run up the mountain to get above the butane fog. Then he ran into the fog to seek our son, who he thought was still in the camp.
