CONFIDENCE

You are my Life, dear Father,
I rest in Your embrace;
You named me Your beloved
Among Your gifts of grace.

Eternal in Your keeping,
Completeness I express;
All good is mine forever,
Though life seem comfortless.

My steps shall never waver,
Before me looms no stone;
Through perfect understanding
To me Your will is known.

My days by You created
Are never veiled by night;
My going and my coming
Are always in Your sight.

In absolute surrender
To Your unfailing might,
With confident rejoicing
I dwell in heavenly light.
