IMMUNITY FROM CONTAGION AND DISEASE
In the study of Christian Science we learn that good health is actually a quality of God, Spirit, and is inherent in all of God's ideas. Therefore man, the expression of God, can never be sick or subject to physical or mental discord. Man dwells in the realm of Spirit, in the atmosphere of Soul, where physical sense and mortality are unknown.
Since Christ Jesus declared that the kingdom of God is within us, we can experience the harmonious and health-sustaining atmosphere of Soul right where we are. This is accomplished as we fix thought on the fact of man's eternal, spiritual, healthful nature as the son of God and demonstrate the qualities of true manhood in daily living.
Mary Baker Eddy says Miscellaneous Writings, p. 4), "Thought imbued with purity, Truth, and Love, instructed in the Science of metaphysical healing, is the most potent and desirable remedial agent on the earth." Such Godlike thought also prevents the development of disease in the body.
