Before I knew of Christian Science,...

Before I knew of Christian Science, I had been through a great deal of trouble. In my distress I prayed: "Thy will be done. Lead me in the right way, for I see how helpless I am in my lack of an understanding of God." My prayer was answered. I was led to a Christian Scientist who explained to me the truth concerning God and man and then prayed for me. Before long, harmony took the place of discord. Oh, I am so grateful! And I know that this gratitude obligates me to continue to study and demonstrate the truth.

I could tell of many healings; for instance, the healing of a hand covered with warts. As I earnestly strove to entertain only pure and good thoughts, the warts vanished. This experience showed that healing must take place first in consciousness before it can be manifested on the body.

A few years ago my mother was very ill and apparently near death. Fear almost overwhelmed me; so I wrote to a practitioner. Gradually fear yielded, and the sickness was overcome. For this wonderful healing, I am indebted to God, who, through Mary Baker Eddy, has revealed Christian Science to mankind. I shall endeavor to express my deep gratitude by glorifying God in thought and deed.—(Mrs.) Maria Einsiedler, Effringen, Württemberg, Germany.
