Of the many times when Christian Science has helped me, one is especially memorable because of its demand for steadfast holding to the truth. As advertising manager for a manufacturer, I was charged with producing an expensive book in which all the officers of the company were interested. In our meetings with the artist and the printers' representatives, all details were supposedly understood and satisfactorily agreed upon. But when delivery was made, the whole production had to be destroyed because of mistakes in preparation.

The suppliers were called in again, and while company officers listened, they volubly accused each other. The meeting adjourned at office closing time, with nothing settled and with bitter words having been spoken. At home I studied the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy in an attempt to clear my confused thinking. The suggestion came, "You are the only one who knows all that went on in the preparation of the book, and you should reason this out with the others and persuade them to do what is right."

Then suddenly I laughed aloud. "I? I am the only one who knows? What about the all-knowing Mind?" I instantly conceded that Mind, God, knew the true way and would lead to a harmonious outcome.
