It is with a deep sense of gratitude to God and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, that I submit these accounts of Christian Science healing. Through study and application of the teachings of this Science our family has had quick healings of burns, cuts, and skin abrasions. A birthmark disappeared after a Christian Science practitioner was able to awaken me to the fact that no blemish of any kind can appear on God's spiritual idea. The other healings were accomplished by our own prompt denial of anything unlike God. While attending a lecture on Christian Science several years ago, my husband was healed of a severe cold in the head.

About five years ago our youngest daughter was born at home under very harmonious circumstances. Everything connected with this experience worked out beautifully with the help of a practitioner, and it was truly a proof to me of the power of divine Love over material beliefs.

Last summer our children were in the back yard playing croquet with their playmates, when a misdirected croquet ball hit our son very hard on the ankle, causing great pain and swelling. A consecrated practitioner was asked to work for the boy, and within half an hour he stopped crying and fell asleep. When he awakened in an hour or so, the pain was almost gone, although he could put no weight on the foot. The work was continued, and the complete healing followed. We all rejoiced over this healing.
