Christian Science came into my life when I was in the depths of discouragement. I am deeply grateful to God for revealing to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, this complete and final revelation of Truth as found in her writings. Through my study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's works, discouragement changed to hopeful anticipation, and one healing followed another. I was healed of smoking, drinking, profanity, and gambling. The use of sedatives was discontinued, and nervousness was overcome. Most of these healings occurred while I was reading the books mentioned above.

After I had begun the study of Christian Science, a new world unfolded to me. Where selfishness and pride had prevailed, there was now a great desire to serve the Cause of Christian Science and help others. Consequently I joined The Mother Church and later a branch church. I must express gratitude for my marriage to a student of Christian Science and for the privilege our children have had of attending the Sunday School.

In our family we have experienced many wonderful physical healings, among which were those of contagion, broken bones, colds, pneumonia, and infections. I wish to relate in detail a healing of hemorrhoids. Before coming into Christian Science, I had used various medical remedies for this condition; and after a week or two the condition would be relieved, but it was never permanently healed.
