I was brought up in a Christian Science family, and through my childhood this Science was our only physician. During an attack of scarlet fever I was healed the first night of the quarantine and spent the rest of the period in the house, happy and free. When the health department doctor came to examine me in the prescribed time, he was amazed to see that no evidence remained of the disease. During my high school days I suffered a severe injury to my spine. Again only Christian Science was employed, and by the end of the week I was all right.

I wish to express gratitude for a more recent healing which has meant much to me. For quite a long period of time a sense of disunity and inharmony in the home had prevailed, and though a loving practitioner had given much support along the way, the discord remained. During this time, a scabious formation appeared on my leg.

At first there was no feeling of pain present, but later, when a change of residence had been decided upon, a rather alarming condition appeared on the leg and was accompanied by a great deal of pain. The practitioner was called and took up prayerful work for this specific condition. She lovingly brought out the fact that we live in divine Mind and not in the erroneous human concept which seems to surround us. Therefore we must heed Mrs. Eddy's injunction (Science and Health, p. 407), "Let the perfect model be present in your thoughts instead of its demoralized opposite."
