WOOING THE WEARY WANDERER

"If the lives of Christian Scientists attest their fidelity to Truth," writes Mary Baker Eddy in "Pulpit and Press" (p. 22), "I predict that in the twentieth century every Christian church in our land, and a few in far-off lands, will approximate the understanding of Christian Science sufficiently to heal the sick in his name. Christ will give to Christianity his new name, and Christendom will be classified as Christian Scientists."

As individuals of this twentieth century each of us may attest his fidelity to Truth by filling his thoughts with the truth of God's allness and man's spiritual perfection, which enables one to obey the Master's counsel (Matt. 5:16), "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

Right in one's own community there are those who are greatly in need of healing, who desire release from the bondage of materiality. Immeasurable good can come to a friend, neighbor, or business associate who is invited to attend a Christian Science lecture. This is often the way in which Christian Science is first presented to those unfamiliar with it.
