While I was thinking of all the wonderful things Christian Science has done for me and mine, my heart was filled with gratitude, and this thought came to me: Why don't you share with others some of your experiences through a testimony in our periodicals? In obedience to this prompting I wish to tell of some of my experiences.

This Science was presented to me at a time when I was suffering from a painful condition of my right elbow, for which I had had medical help for many years. I had spent a small fortune on treatment, but with no results. Four doctors had taken X rays at different times but said that the bone was infected and that the arm should be amputated. I was a young mother with two small children to rear; so I did not consent to the amputation.

When Christian Science found me I was in a desperate condition physically and financially. Late one Sunday afternoon two young students of Christian Science stopped to visit at my neighbor's home, where I had come for a few minutes. This couple were returning from a lecture on Christian Science, and they were filled with joy and inspiration. As I voiced my troubles to them, the woman began telling me some of the truths of Christian Science, and I was receptive to these truths. I felt uplifted and was instantaneously healed of the pain, weakness, and discouragement which had possessed me for many years.
