IS YOUR EXAMPLE WORTH IMITATING?

[Of Special Interest to Young People]

The decency of many of our young people in schools and colleges is worth imitating. The ripples of good keep widening as they flow out through youth to the far corners of the earth. At times the negative example of a minority of juveniles is ballooned out of proper proportion.

Accepting the scientific definition of oneself as the image of divine Mind, expressing God's spiritual qualities, we begin to give up the suggestion that we are limited mortals, trying to get spiritual qualities as a private possession. Then Jesus' example of Christlike ness is being imitated. Paul wrote to the Philippians (Phil. 2:5), "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus."

Young people who attend the Christian Science Sunday School regularly are likely to enter high school and college with a conviction that they can keep their talents active; that they do not have to bow to evil companionships, nor do they have to drink and smoke in order to be active and appreciated.
