I have been a student of Christian Science for many years and have enjoyed the blessings which come through the study and application of the truth. The Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy have been my daily inspiration and guide. Through their teachings I have gained some understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him, and this understanding has helped me to overcome various difficulties. My great desire is to learn more.

When I was a young girl, my mother was healed of a chronic ailment through Christian Science, and she became an earnest student and loyal worker in a Church of Christ, Scientist, of which she was a charter member. Her steadfastness and unfaltering devotion have been an inspiration to me. When she was about seventy years old she was badly injured in an automobile accident and taken to a nearby hospital, where her condition was considered hopeless. She asked for a Christian Science practitioner and refused all medication. At the end of a week she made the journey home, a distance of about thirty miles. Her recovery was rapid and complete.

The testing time in my experience came when my husband passed on suddenly, leaving me with three young sons. Although I had felt I could not endure life without my husband, I was healed so completely of grief and a sense of separation through the work of a consecrated practitioner that I have never again suffered from them. The teachings of Christian Science lifted me entirely out of the sense of death into a better understanding of eternal Life than I had ever known.
