"THIS DAY IS HOLY"
In the Bible, in the book of Nehemiah, is the account of an assembly of the people of Israel, in which the book of the law of Moses was read. At this time the following counsel was given (8:9): "This day is holy unto the Lord your God; mourn not, nor weep."
The recognition that every day is sacred to God, divine Truth, Life, and Love, precludes the possibility of its embodying sorrow or suffering. Mourning has no place in the spiritual joy which permeates eternity. Spiritually considered, day is the ceaseless expansion of good, the continuing revelation of divine Love. It is not bounded by darkness and dawn, but evidences the fadeless radiance of infinity.
What glorious opportunities for growth and achievement await the individual who understandingly acknowledges that the hours ahead point always to the heaven of ever-present Love and that they are illumined by the consciousness of divine reality alone.
