So much good has come into my...
So much good has come into my life that out of a heart overflowing with gratitude for God's goodness to me and all mankind, I should like to submit this testimony.
In 1947 a niece living in Assam, India, wrote begging me to come and visit her and her husband, because she said she felt lonely and unhappy so far away from her relatives and friends. In due course I found myself far away from all church activities and from my Christian Science friends. I soon became very unhappy and lonely myself, and after a few weeks of morbid self-centeredness I became ill with a severe nervous breakdown which took the form of hallucinations and a persecution mania.
Largely through the faithful work of a Christian Science practitioner in London, England, to whom I cabled for help, after a few months I was able to fly to Calcutta, India. I stayed with members of the Christian Science Society there and had treatment from a practitioner who was living there at the time.
