Signs of the Times

From an article by Henry Geerlings in the Evening Sentinel Holland, Michigan

The one who accepts Christ's [Jesus'] philosophy of life becomes a "go-giver"' rather than a go-getter and, strange as it may seem, he really taps the fountain of human happiness.

The Christian's business or profession never becomes his master. He regards it as a means toward an end and not an end within itself. He is more concerned with making a life than with making a living. And because he seeks first the kingdom of righteousness, God's promises are fulfilled in his life. His influence counts for God and good.
