In the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes (p. 574), "The very circumstance, which your suffering sense deems wrathful and afflictive, Love can make an angel entertained unawares."

Almost thirty-three years ago my husband was in the last stage of a heart ailment, for which he had been treated by specialists for many years. The physicians told me there was no hope for him and advised me to take him to the home of his parents, since I was a young mother with two babies. I obeyed, and we moved to my husband's home town.

One month after we arrived there, a discordant family relationship developed. At this point I was forced to seek help above human means. The thought of a friend who was a Christian Scientist came to me, and I recalled hearing him say that discord is unreal. I decided to try his religion in my situation, and I found a student of Christian Science who helped me for about two weeks.
