Mrs. Eddy writes on page 1 of Science and Health, "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love." This statement I have proved many times, sometimes with the help of practitioners and other times through my own study and application of the truth. It is my sincere desire to help someone by sharing my account of some of these lovely and permanent healings.

During my first visit with a Christian Science practitioner I was instantaneously healed of adhesion of the bowels, from which I had suffered many years. One Sunday while I was attending the evening service in The Mother Church and turning my thought to the perfection of man made in the image and likeness of God, I was healed of partial deafness in one ear.

On another Sunday evening, part of the First Reader's benediction was (I Thess. 5:21), "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." That week my mother passed on, and those words came to me very clearly. They healed me of all grief and of a sense of separation. At a Wednesday evening testimony meeting I was healed of a long-standing condition of a trembling hand.
