Signs of the Times

Rev. Walter J. Moris in a guest editorial in the Sheridan Press, Wyoming

Moral progress does not come, except through the individual concern of every citizen. Moral progress is the result of individual realization of responsibility before God. Moral progress comes when every citizen, regardless of his position, profession, or occupation, realizes that every act has its moral implications.

There are no homes, no business places, no offices, where God's laws of right and wrong can be disregarded without consequences. On the other hand, in the measure that we recognize that all areas of life are under God's domain, in that measure do we begin to make moral progress. This is the only basis upon which we can hope to make our community strong and a better place in which to live.
