Christian Science has brought peace and joy into my life. About thirty years ago I was given up to die by several of the finest doctors in a large western city. The trouble was a heart condition, which at times would cause me to lose consciousness for several hours. I was very unhappy and discouraged.

One day a friend gave me a Sentinel to read. Since my native tongue is Italian, the reading was extremely difficult for me. However, I continued to read the very best I could, and soon I was feeling better —the whole world looked very different to me.

I had been taking daily a drug which the doctor said I must continue to use the rest of my life. One day as I started to take it I said, "No, if God is the only power, then this drug has no power." So down the drain it went. I gathered up all the bottles and packages of medicine in the house and buried them in the back yard. In a very short time I was healed. There has been no return of the heart condition, and I have taken no more drugs of any kind.
