In the hope that my experience may bring assurance of the healing power of Christian Science, I submit this testimony.

From early childhood I attended an orthodox Sunday School and later became a member of the church of my parents. As I grew older, however, although I continued active in the affairs of this church, I was not happy there. I could not reconcile its form of worship with that of Jesus of Nazareth, and I began delving into all sorts of religious philosophies.

At the time of the depression, all our family had acquired was swept away. I found no solace either in the church of my parents or in the esoteric doctrines I had studied. I tried to pray, but I knew no God to whom I could pray.
