In coming from the Netherlands...

In coming from the Netherlands to Australia our family had such wonderful experiences in Christian Science that I cannot delay to thank God for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and for her enlightened explanations of the Bible.

In the Netherlands we had attended a Christian Science Society, and the children went to the Sunday School. It was one of the hardest things for us to leave this loved society, but we had learned that our home is where our Father-Mother God is, and our faith in God carried us along through all the difficulties.

It was wonderful that nearly every Sunday we could find a spot to hold Sunday School for our children, even on the overcrowded boat that brought us to Australia. We could not have managed without the helpful Christian Science literature which we had with us. Our thanks go out to The Mother Church for all it has done for us. It has come to mean more to me since our immigration. How helpful Christian Science was to us when we lived in the bush during our first year in Australia!
