SCALING THE HEIGHTS

At the time some of the earth's great mountain peaks were systematically being scaled by pioneer mountaineers, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, was pioneering spiritual paths upward in the Science of Mind-healing.

Mrs. Eddy must have had a love for mountains and a respect for the mountaineer's efforts to reach lofty summits. She apparently recognized a parallel between the conquest of mountains and the victory of the Christian over the world: the ascent to lofty summits and the demonstration of an absolute system of Christian Mind-healing, which she denominated Christian Science.

This Science teaches that in reality all is infinite Mind, God, and His expression and manifestation, man and the universe. When this great truth is realized, mortal mind and its manifestation, matter, are understood to be nothingness, and material sense is made subject to Mind. Divine Science is showing mankind the way out of mortality's earthborn claims of sin, sickness, and death.
