I am most happy and grateful to testify that Christian Science has blessed every phase of my being. In looking back over my many physical healings and adjustments to right place, activity, and association I see convincing proofs that Christian Science is the promised Comforter. My gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, is beyond words to express.

I consider myself fortunate to have been raised in a Christian Science Sunday School, in which I gained an understanding of the Bible and of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. My membership in The Mother Church, which was achieved prior to my leaving home for college, has proved a stabilizing and challenging influence in my experience.

In high school I was afflicted with a glandular condition which restricted normal physical activity and development. Through the help of a practitioner I beheld the real man, God's image and likeness, and through knowing that in truth only perfection could be manifested in my experience, I was freed from this condition. This healing was verified when I passed a strict physical examination which was administered when I entered military service. While I was at a university, activity in a Christian Science Organization served to encourage practical application of Science to daily experience and provided many channels for service to the Cause. This activity likewise provided sound training for the responsibilities of branch church membership.
