I first heard of Christian Science in 1917 through a woman who was a dear friend of mine. I was living in a small community where there were no Scientists, and I was unable to be a regular attendant at church services elsewhere. My progress was slow, but after some years I had an opportunity to live in the city. From then on I was most happy, because with the help of dear friends my understanding of Truth increased. I was healed of numerous ills, including eczema and ulcers on my legs, conditions which had lasted for several years.

I have learned that God alone is the source of man's supply. This truth was proved by my finding employment when I was at an age when it is considered difficult to obtain a position. There was opportunity in my work to demonstrate divine qualities, and I had several experiences which enabled me to progress.

With the help of a dear friend I was able to gain self-control through Christian Science, and by constantly claiming my relation to God, Spirit, I rose above inharmony and nervousness. Through the study of Mary Baker Eddy's writings I came to know God better and banished thoughts of limitation and fear from my consciousness. This freedom helped me to go forward, finding support in the ever-presence of divine, infinite Love.
