MENTAL MELODY
Poems
most rare are not in script;
much music finds its source
inside the goodness of a heart
and takes a silent course.
To banish sin, a kindness may
bear greater weight than psalm;
and melody unsung may light
a smile with healing balm.
Althea Brooks Hollenbeck
