WINGS OF FAITH

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Have you ever stood quite still in a field on a summer's day and watched a lark rise from the ground on its strong wings? Then I am sure you have also listened to it pouring forth its song above your head.

Mary Baker Eddy has some lovely things to say about wings. She likens them to joy, to hope, to protection, and to upward-soaring thoughts.

Phillip and Jennifer are two children who go to the Christian Science Sunday School. One day when they lost their budgereegah, a little bird with a sweet chirrupy song and gaily colored wings, they were able to prove through the beautiful upward-soaring thoughts which God gave them that He cares for the birds and protects them from harm in just the same tender way that He cares for all His creation.
